Fresh from their Cabinet of Curiosities, we partnered with Hendrick’s to unveil their newest gin creation: a floral-infused flavour inspired by the beguiling world of a Victorian Pleasure Garden. We were tasked with capturing the ethos of Flora Adora and bringing it to life through an XM and PR experience that captivated our audience and inspired them to get curious.

We invited a curated list of influencers and select invitees to join us for an evening in the ‘the Pleasure Garden’ and discover Flora Adora for themselves. From a living garnish garden that lined the bar to a fascinating look at entomology, we intrigued and entertained our audience throughout the night, introducing Flora Adora in a fresh and memorable way.

We had great success with our influencer program implementation as well as with our patrons who were involved in all the activations at the event. We garnered 6.8M social impressions, 1M earned social engagement, and 300+ pieces of original content, successfully bringing the world of Flora Adora to life.

Aeroplan points can be used for more than just flights—but not everyone knows. That’s why we were tasked with creating a brand activation promoting the HotelSavers program and its exciting ties to Aeroplan.

We created a sleek and immersive hotel lobby to bring the HotelSavers story and key messaging to life. By pressing the elevator button, guests watched their Aeroplan points go up, revealing exciting prizes.

Each time the doors opened, guests were treated to a tour of a different HotelSavers room they could stay in with a chance to win enough Aeroplan points for a stay in a tier 8 hotel plus a flight for two. After the elevator doors closed, guests could also enter for a chance to win 50K Aeroplan Points towards an exclusive HotelSavers experience.

The program overall drove comprehension and helped attendees recognize that Aeroplan points can be used at any HotelSavers property around the world. Our lobby welcomed over 15,000 people that weekend.

With an always-on approach to media relations, we aimed to raise brand awareness in Canada as well as educate consumers on the buy now-pay later industry.

Global Advertiser Summits happen every year, by every major tech company. It’s where executives share their latest and greatest tech innovations with the media and ad world, in the same dry format. But Pinterest isn’t like other tech companies. So, instead of getting inspired by other ad summits, we got inspired by TV shows people already love to watch. Think mockumentaries like 30 Rock, The Office, Nathan For You, and more.

For Pinterest’s global ad summit, Pinterest Presents, we created a making-of format to bring together education and entertainment in equal measure. The script, sets, characters, and storyline were so entertainingly and comedically Pinterest and showcased inspiring ideas and tools that the platform is known for. From keynotes to product news, real Pinner stories and client testimonials, we made sure our audience understood the ins and outs of Pinterest, and how it can help advertisers reach their business goals.

From concept to air date, we launched a global show in 6 months, creating first-of-it’s-kind results for Pinterest Presents. 32,000 people registered for the show, and the attendance rate of 48% blew past the industry benchmark of 20-30%. Of the almost 14,000 live views, there was virtually zero drop off rate, which means viewers were watching the entire 50 minute show. This is unheard of. Pinterest Presents connected with a B2B audience through the content they love, leaving them with no doubt that there’s never been a better time to partner with Pinterest.

YouTube was looking to help emerging and aspiring digital creators become digital entrepreneurs. So, they partnered with HXOUSE, a Toronto-based creative incubator, to launch CNCPT – an initiative dedicated to supporting the next generation of Canadian digital creators.

Our strategy to support this next generation of digital creators was to tap into both YouTube and HXOUSE’s digital networks to create a community filled with the mentorship and tools needed to succeed.

Pinterest is where people search for ideas—turning Pins into real life experiences. Our task was to create a visually engaging B2B experience to show advertising professionals why it’s more important than ever to show up on the platform. We did so by taking them on Pinterest’s unique platform journey from ‘discovery to decision to do.’

Our approach was led by our belief that the best B2B events marry B2C thinking – engaging creative solutions to bring people into the brand in an exciting and memorable way.

We brought Pins to life by transforming the events space into all things Canadian summer. From grilling season to patio vibes to our lively bloom bar, guests discovered and interacted with the space to better understand how ideas on Pinterest manifest into real life experiences.

creating moments of inspiration

We created 7 unique vignettes to show advertisers what ideas look like on Pinterest – placing QR codes in each space for guests to scan and see directly on Pinterest.

shopping the platform is simple

Finally, we turned Pins into real life experiences by gifting attendees items related to the vignettes throughout the space. Attendees took home items included DIY Pinterest picnic blankets, tote bags, or country-scented Lohn candles.

More than a decade after hits like Charlie Bit My Finger and Shoes went viral, YouTube is still a beloved hub of inspiration for creators from every culture and generation. But, as younger audiences started to prefer watching shorter content, YouTube needed to inspire new fans to unleash their creativity by launching Shorts, a short form video platform and community.

From reviving old fashion trends to loving new takes on older songs, the next generation of Canadian creators love to remix things in their own way—even if they’ve never experienced them. By tapping into YouTube’s remix culture, we highlighted how creativity is a continuous flow from one creator to another and a chance for anyone to add their own signature special to any video.

Partnering with critically acclaimed Canadian producer WondaGurl, we created an exclusive anthem remix of “Short Shorts” by The Royal Teens. Our Short Shorts remix became the definitive sound signature of our campaign and inspired other creators and everyday users to make their own Shorts with our song.

Located in the heart of Toronto’s dynamic Ossington neighbourhood, HomeCourt supports the next generation of artists, brands, and creators. We established an identity that brought the intersections of culture and creativity to life, inspiring them to use and transform the space’s blank canvas.

pulling inspo and making it pop

Inspired by art institutes and high fashion brands, we leaned into the classic and modern sophistication of Swiss Design. We created a pared-back palette of black and off-white, accentuated by splashes of neon to reflect HomeCourt’s boldness. We made sure the typography reflected the timeless yet contemporary function of the space, pairing a Sans Serif classic Neue Haas Unica with a more elegant Editorial New.

Neue Haas Unica was the starting point for our wordmark and icon. To create a bold, stable icon, we stretched and overlapped the H and C of HomeCourt, a reflection of the space as a blank canvas for creatives to mold and make their own. This icon is expanded into a high-fashion-inspired monogram used across the space and merchandise. Alongside oversized typography, HomeCourt’s distinct system of wordmark, icon, and monogram speaks to the audaciousness the space brings to Ossington.

Straight from their cabinet of curiosities, Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin is a limited release that captures the magic of the sea. Our task was to help Hendrick’s stand out amongst the growing pool of new and novel products – so we set out to make a splash.

We put a Hendrick’s spin on the popular unboxing experience by immersing our audience in an interactive adventure that rewarded them for following their curiosity.

dive deeper for surprising results

The experience starts outside of the box with a visually captivating design that invites our audience to dive in. Once the lid is lifted the sides fall open, immersing our audience in a three dimensional world filled with peculiar characters and a closed treasure chest. Inside, a pearl from the Neptunia ocean – a QR code that leads to more cocktail inspiration.

Along with a series of clever rhymes and fun surprises — including ocean audio — the box captivated those who received it, immersing them in the Hendrick’s brand.

Recipients were excited to share the experience, resulting in over 9.5 million impressions through a combination of earned and paid efforts across media and influencers. The box furthered engagement for the Hendrick’s brand and promoted the limited edition flavour in an exciting and unexpected way.

Prime Video was set to launch their first original Canadian drama series, Three Pines to the Canadian market. Though fictional, the series addresses very real, timely issues involving the Indigenous community, including missing and murdered Indigenous women and the violence committed at Residential Schools.

In only seven weeks, we developed a public relations strategy with collaboration, empathy, and advocacy in mind and action. We started by partnering with an Indigenous consultant to develop key messaging that highlighted the hardship and resilience portrayed in the show.

Our comprehensive messaging document acted as a guide throughout our outreach and media engagement efforts, and allowed us to maintain narrative control when working with talent and across verticals.

We developed a multi-level media matrix that targeted mid-and short-lead press with pitches across entertainment, news, books, local feature, industry trade, and lifestyle verticals. We also planned and managed an intensive press junket in Montreal, facilitating a record-breaking 60 virtual and in-person interviews with rotating cast and crew over the course of one day.

We also welcomed 175 press and influentials to a red carpet screening event at Rialto Theatre in Montreal. We managed press and cameras on the red carpet and reception, facilitating pre-negotiated and on-the-spot interviews with key cast and crew.

The Three Pines launch and premiere represented one of Prime Video’s most successful PR campaigns in Canada, with press that trickled over to Australia, the US, and the UK. Before the series even premiered, we had over 31.1M earned media impressions in Canada, with embargoed features in top-tier outlets, including the Globe and Mail, CBC, Montreal Gazette, Toronto Star, etalk, and ET Canada, that drove major impact leading up to launch and brought essential issues and voices to the forefront of culture with Prime at the core.

From trick-or-treat to gift baskets, Halloween has become synonymous with candy. That’s why we needed to help GoGo squeeZ®—a nutritious snack brand—show up in a meaningful and authentic way.

rewriting the story

Riffing off popular scary movies, we turned GoGo squeeZ® into a spooky snackable story and the hero of Halloween. We created two stories, ‘Nightmare on Snack Street’ and ‘Revenge of the Fruits and Veggies,’ around relatable snack time scaries for kids, like eating veggies and being hangry.

Each story started with live action of a Halloween sleepover, before transitioning into a fun stylized animation, all narrated by our cast of imaginative and captivating kids. For the animations, we drew inspiration from comic books and graphic novels, but with a modern twist. Our animated characters’ vivid colours and expressive movements transformed our stories into memorable and entertaining narratives.

From big slurps to pouch squeezes, we integrated GoGo squeeZ® SFXs throughout to remind our viewers that each spooky story is a snack time story. These videos were accompanied by a 6s product video to reinforce GoGo squeeZ® as the perfect pouch of yum and fun for spooktacular season.

Whipping up that delicious treat you crave shouldn’t be hard. So, we helped position Chipits as the confidence boost needed to get non-bakers to the finished product – a delicious, ooey gooey treat.

Working with Hershey’s, we created ‘Fake it ‘til you Bake it’ – a campaign that encouraged amateur bakers to embrace the skills they do have with two 15 second spots and subsequent cut downs. The campaign was amplified through OLV, social, Pinterest, and display placements, reaching our audience just in time for peak baking season – the holidays.

The campaign was a resounding success during the holidays, increasing brand sales by 73%. Our campaign also exceeded the reach goal by 35.65% and impression goal by 36% on Facebook and Instagram, with a total of 9.9M impressions across all channels.

With this in mind, we undertook the endeavor of restoring Silk’s position as the original and authentic leader of plant-based products by doubling down on their sustainability efforts.

To add credibility to Silk’s cause, and ensure that our work would walk the talk, we partnered with Pollinator Partnership Canada (P2C), an organization dedicated to the protection and promotion of pollinators across Canada. Through discussion and research with P2C, we gained valuable insights on how we could support pollinators, learning that the decline of bee populations in urban areas is due to a loss of feeding and nesting areas. With this in mind, the Silk Bee Line came to be(e).

Known as the bigger little egg, we were tasked with helping Hershey’s EGGIES share their latest lineup right in time for Easter. Packed with new flavours and colours, EGGIES aren’t just bigger in size – they’re now bigger in variety.

We created one 15s OLV to showcase the whole lineup of new EGGIES plus two cutdowns spotlighting the Dark and Rainbow EGGIES. Brimming with colours, movement, and fun animations, the videos were as exciting and big as the latest lineup of EGGIES. The campaign was amplified through OLV, social, Pinterest, and display placements, reaching our audience just in time for Easter.

Canadian winters are extra long and gray, making it the perfect time to escape and book a sun vacation with Air Canada. Our task was to brighten Canadian winters and inspire sun travel.

bringing it to life

It started by bringing their Seize the Sun campaign to life in a fun, family-friendly way. We created the Seize the Sun Lounge, for guests to escape the cold and get inspired to take a sun vacation. Inside the Sun Lounge, we created a custom-branded claw machine for guests to literally seize the sun, winning them either a branded Air Canada beach ball or 1K Aeroplan Points to be used toward sun travel.

Guests also enjoyed custom hot chocolates and the outdoor adult or kid’s lounge areas. As part of the experience, we created a custom microsite and contest for guests to enter for a chance to receive Air Canada flights for their next family sun vacation.

Toronto Raptors President Masai Ujiri launched the Humanity Movement to continue the momentum around conversations on race and social justice. In advance of the reveal of Humanity’s massive art installation outside Union Station in Toronto, the organization wanted to generate awareness of its mission and buzz around the installation.

Our approach was to create a whole movement out of a moment of time. We achieved this with the perfect blend of exposure for both the installation itself and Humanity’s mandate to make the world a better place. We garnered impactful coverage in traditional news and lifestyle press, then engaged like-minded Canadians to share the launch of the installation and Humanity’s mission. Plus, we established credibility with interview features of Masai Ujiri, leveraging his local ties to Toronto and his passion for the Humanity movement.

To celebrate the exclusive release of Daisy Jones and the Six on Prime Video, we threw a music-filled 70s-themed event complete with live performances, a merch booth full of swag, and a record-themed photo moment.

The party was held at the Legendary El Mocambo, located in the heart of Toronto’s bustling Chinatown. The venue, which is one of Canada’s most iconic rock venues, was recently renovated to provide the perfect backdrop of rock n’ roll history for our event. We created immersive decor experiences that helped Daisy Jones and the Six fit into rock history and to bring the era to life. We also showcase clips of the show across the venue to build anticipation and excitement for release.

DJ Humble Mike of Record Collective has a passion for party starting and preserving vinyl sound. He spun tunes from the 70s—and the Aurora record courtesy of Warner Music Canada—on vinyl, creating a unique sonic experience. And after remarks from emcee Carlos Bustamente and Prime’s Magda Grace, disco-pop and folk diva RALPH brought the house down with her upbeat earworms and the vocal stylings of a 70s icon.

We designed a custom immersive gifting station for guests to build their own merch takeaway, choosing from three custom Daisy Jones tees, books provided by Penguin Random House, sunglasses and tote bags from Free People, vinyl provided by Warner Music Canada, and Wild Card sparkling waters from local brand Barbet.

We also partnered with local vintage stores PIC, Good Habits, and Shopcoat to provide exclusive shopping experiences and discounts to our guests, help them build their 70s looks, and entice them to RSVP.
